Kitten Season Isn’t Over Yet!
from Grey
While out for a walk recently, our volunteer Grey noticed a group of cats outside a neighbor’s home and decided to stop and learn more. That simple moment led to an inspiring partnership with Carol and Larry, two compassionate residents who had been caring for ten outdoor cats.
Like many devoted caregivers, Carol and Larry wanted to have their cats spayed and neutered but found the cost overwhelming. With the help of Friends of Feral Felines volunteer Grey, they humanely trapped and brought in four cats for TNR—all young females under six months old. Three were already pregnant, even at such a young age. Their timely efforts prevented at least nine kittens from being born to the hardships of outdoor life.
Carol, Larry, and Grey continue to work side by side to ensure the remaining cats are fixed and returned safely. Their story is a powerful reminder of what community compassion can achieve — that one caring conversation can lead to lasting change.
Kitten season is not over. Please don’t wait to schedule TNR — every cat fixed today prevents suffering tomorrow.
