Giving Season 2025

Wow, we are incredibly impressed at how well you showed up for Friends of Feral Felines this year. December 2nd was Giving Tuesday - and it was such a success. We also had so many Secret Santa Paws donors that directly contributed food and supplies. The year isn’t over yet, so it’s never too late to support us and the community cats who depend on us.

Every winter, caregivers reach out for help as unfixed cat colonies grow and vulnerable cats face cold weather, hunger, and preventable illness. TNVR is the most effective way to stabilize colonies and keep cats healthy, but it takes resources to meet the need. Thank you for your help!

Your Donation Was Doubled In Honor of Maria

Friends of Feral Felines was honored to announce a $10,000 matching donation this Giving Tuesday from an incredibly generous donor, Maria. Every dollar donated up to $10,000 was matched, meaning we'll be able to help twice as many cats.

Maria was born in Italy and shared her heart and home with many feline companions (and even a couple dogs) during her lifetime. As a little girl, she lived through WWII. During this time, her family had a white cat named "Snow", who brought joy and laughter to them during a difficult period in their lives. As an adult, Maria adopted "Punkin", a stray cat who walked into her Vet's home one afternoon. Punkin had a remarkable personality and proved to be a perfect candidate as a blood donor for other kitty clients. After Punkin retired, she had a wonderful life with Maria. Out of all her feline family members, Punkin was Maria's favorite - her soul cat. When she was 87 years old, Maria adopted "Cutes", who was 20 years old. The two enjoyed almost two years together before Cutes crossed over the rainbow bridge.

It bothered Maria that there were so many kittens and cats without homes. Prevention through spay and neuter programs is the best way to address this. We are grateful for Maria's love of cats and her legacy of care through this $10,000 memorial matching donation.

Why $25,000?

We’re glad you asked! $25,000 lets us fix 250 community cats, preventing 2,000 kittens!!

Here’s the Math:

If half are females (125), and each can have two litters a year with about four kittens each, that’s 1,000 kittens in just one year from those 125 cat mamas.

And here’s where it gets mind-blowing: by 4–6 months old, those kittens can start having kittens. If about half of the first 1,000 babies are girls (≈500), even a conservative estimate puts the next wave at another 1,000 kittens within a year.

That’s 2,000 kittens prevented, just by fixing 250 adult cats. Raising $25,000 this Giving Tuesday will allow us to save these tiny lives from suffering. Together, we’re breaking the cycle and protecting our community’s cats
