About Friends of Feral Felines

Friends of Feral Felines has been advocating for community cats for over 25 years!

FFF is an all-volunteer run nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in Charlotte, NC with a mission to improve the lives of community cats through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return (TNVR). We do this by:

  • Educating the public about the importance of TNVR

  • Connecting community members with clinics that offer spay/neuter for community cats

  • Loaning humane traps (in Mecklenburg County)

  • Mentoring community members throughout the TNVR process (in Mecklenburg County)

Due to high demand and limited volunteer capacity, we rely on community members to take an active role in the TNVR process whenever possible. We are 100% volunteer and donation-based, not a city/county service. FFF is also not a foster, rescue, or animal shelter.

So far in 2025, FFF subsidized the spay/neuter and vaccination services of 1,421 community cats in and around Charlotte, NC.

Our Community Cat Partners

We appreciate the partnerships we have with the Humane Society of Charlotte Animal Resource Center (HSC), Charlotte-Mecklenberg Animal Care and Control (CMACC), and Pet Supermarket - Matthews. Click their logos to learn more about their organizations.
