We are required to staff the booth with a minimum number of volunteers, and your help is needed!!! Our volunteers always have a lot of fun attending this festival, and we need a few more people to fill all the time slots to ensure that we're invited to participate again next year. Thank you in advance for helping with this important fundraiser! Feral Cats at Animal Control - When a cat with a clipped ear is taken to Animal Control, they contact us. Please call our hotline at 704-348-1578 if you are ever missing any of your feral cats. Unfortunately, cats will be euthanized by Animal Control if not reclaimed. Animal Control can be reached through 311. There are several cats that have recently been taken to Animal Control. If you are missing one of your cats, feral or stray (with a clipped ear), please call out hotline at 704-348-1578. Attention ANY homeowners, land or farm owners: URGENT NEED to relocate cats Sterilized and vaccinated feral cats need to be relocated ASAP or they will be euthanized. FFF volunteers do all the relocation work for you; the cats just need a safe home with daily food provided. Contact FFF if you can help!
FFF Annual Yard Sale held Sat, Apr 18 THANK YOU to everyone who donated items for us to sell. We would like to hold more yard sales, but need someone to volunteer their home & yard where we can hold the sale. Email our volunteer coordinator to volunteer for this! Use GoodSearch.com for all web searches FFF receives a small contribution for each search you make. Be sure to choose "Friends of Feral Felines" before searching. Every single search adds up, so please do your part to help, and spread the word! CARETAKER NEEDED: Managed colony of feral cats in the Indian Trail - Stallings area. We are grateful for any food donations to help out these cats. If you work at a warehouse or retail facility, we would love to make arrangements to pick up any of your damaged pet food items that would otherwise be thrown away. Please email our volunteer coordinator to volunteer your time to help Friends of Feral Felines in any other ways. We continually have many different kinds of volunteer needs. Please check to see if there is any way you are able to assist FFF in our mission to help feral cats. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to make a difference in the lives of community feral cats. Hotline Delays To schedule appointments for spay/neuter of feral cats, and to borrow humane traps, it is necessary to call our hotline at 704-348-1578. Please be aware that our volunteers have their hands full answering the high volume of calls to the hotline, so there will be a short delay in responding to your call. Thank you for your patience! Shelters for Feral Cats Even in the Charlotte area, where we typically don't endure the extreme cold winter weather of northern climates, feral cats will be much more comfortable during periods of chilly or windy weather if they have a simple shelter where they can hide inside from the cold, wind, or rain. The shelters also offer a great place for cats to get out of the heat of the summer, and a easy place to hide when they get scared. This site gives you a few ideas for feral cat shelters, but you can also use any pre-constructed dog house or "igloo" type shelter. Alley Cat Allies also has a page on their site with shelter ideas. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Small "Igloo" shelters available for caretakers Friends of Feral Friends is in possession of several donated small doghouses that would comfortably hold 1-2 cat. They are the igloo type doghouse. Please call our hotline at 704-348-1578 if you are interested in obtaining one or more of these small igloo doghouses. FFF Fundraisers In addition to our volunteers, we would not be able to continue helping feral cats without generous donations or money raised through our fundraisers. Please check the fundraiser section often, along with our volunteer opportunities, to see if there is a way you can donate your time or other means to help FFF. If you have any fundraiser ideas for FFF (please keep in mind that we do not have a store or shelter where we can sell items), email us. We would be very appreciative of anyone who steps up to head a new fundraiser to help our organization and the feral cats! |
